Flashback: Feelin' the Love
They are the best of friends, they are the worst of friends...
Ab and William DO love one another. Occasionally I capture it.

Flashback: In the Mood
I was in charge of planning our Valentine's date this year. We chose to celebrate on February 8 (which just so happens to be our BFF's anniversary!), mainly because Chip would be out of town on V-day.
To backtrack a little, for weeks I had seen advertised that the Glenn Miller orchestra was coming to town. Chip had no idea who they were, so anytime I mentioned the possibility of going to see them, my eager request fell on unappreciative ears.
Left to my own devices, I decided to purchase a couple of tickets to the orchestra, and I made dinner reservations at a nearby restaurant, Stella's Southern Bistro.
Chip loved the dinner. I loved the music.
Here's my all-time favorite Glenn Miller song, Moonlight Serenade:
I 'bout near cried when they played it that night.
Thanks for "suffering" through the evening for my sake, honey. I love you.
Flashback: Halloween 2013
These are too cute not to share.
I'm so grateful for our neighbors who have become great friends. They have a sweet girl, Haley, who is a few months younger than William. The kids and Haley went trick-or-treating together, and Chip was able to join us mid-way 'round the neighborhood.
The following Saturday, the kids participated in the neighborhood costume contest. Instead of being an angel and Power Ranger, this time around Abby and William chose to be a fairy and Batman. Sweet Maddie, dressed as a pink poodle, took home first prize, scoring a $15 gift certificate to Toys R Us.

De Plane! De Plane!
It only took, oh, eight months for me to find a park (in addition to our neighborhood playground) to take the kids. Today we visited the Greenville Aviation Park, which is a neat little play area right near the runway of Greenville's downtown airport. This isn't the area's major airport; this one services mostly smaller, personal aircraft. Impressive, nonetheless. I had as much fun as the kids watching the planes take off and land. We'll certainly take plane-crazed Chip with us next time.
