Mother's Day

Although I've only been a mom a little over five years - actually six if you count being pregnant - I've learned quite a bit about myself, about life and about being a mom ...

I've learned that I can listen to three conversations simultaneously.

I've learned that when listening to three conversations, answering "yes" to a question generally works.

I've learned that kids find joy in the simplest things.

I've learned that William is the boy I never knew I wanted.

I've learned that when someone hurts my little girl's feelings, it hurts mine ten times more.

I've learned that little boys need their mommies.

I've learned that our jobs and hobbies have no eternal value, but the souls of our kids do.

I've learned that I really love being Abby, William, and Maddie's mom.

Pretty, Pretty...Prince-ess?

Princess Abigail

Abby's birthday party was last Saturday at a children's bookstore called Monkey See, Monkey Do.  Nine girls came to celebrate, most dressed in princess costumes.  They made crafts, heard a story and enjoyed cupcakes.  Abby was a very polite guest of honor, receiving compliments from the staff and other parents.
