Water Baby

We spent all afternoon in the pool. All afternoon. Including Maddie.

She was exhausted.

So I thought I was safe in dressing her for bed before going to pick Abby up from her friend's house.

Wrong.

That stinker found a water puddle and laid in it. She rolled in it. Heck, she even tried to drink it.

She loved it.

BFFs

Kinder Promotion

Abby's Kindergarten promotion was held May 24. After she sang songs and walked across the stage to receive her certificates, Abby and I had a picnic lunch on the front lawn of her school. During lunch we giggled and looked at the things she worked so hard on all year. Then I checked her out of school. It was a special day for both of us.

AWANA

Saying goodbye always stings.

It was no different last Wednesday evening, Abby's last night of AWANA in Houston. On the ride home, she teared up and said, "I miss my teachers already!"
Oh! It breaks a mama's heart. Especially because I know even bigger goodbyes are fast approaching.

He's Growing Up

As if almost overnight, William has grown into a smart, funny and confident little boy. He is spelling words already (thanks, no doubt, to his big sister). Although he can certainly be a handful, he exudes  love and respect. And he LOVES his sisters, and he is especially quick to help Madeline without me even saying a word.

Here are a couple pictures of my not-so-little little boy.

Playing the Leapster in the closet...his little hideaway.

Blinds? Car lot? Both!

A real man can ride a pink bike.

Pardon the Dust

Mercy.

I could say I've been busy, but I don't think I could tell you exactly what I've been busy doing.

Life, I guess. Chasing three children. Keeping up with Abby's school happenings. Making sure Maddie and William don't break any limbs. Counting down the days we have left in Houston. Hauling kids to and fro. Preparing for Chip's upcoming graduation roast. Yep, that'll make time march quickly.

Unfortunately, I let my blog get a little dusty. Here's a Kleenex, allergy sufferers.

I'll try to tidy up a bit more often.

Beach Bums

Let it be known: There's NO relaxing at the beach when three children are in tow. But they had fun.
